Pathology

Pathology is the study of the structural and functional changes in cells, tissues, and organs that cause disease. It includes the examination of samples of body fluids and tissues to diagnose and understand the underlying causes of disease. Pathology can be divided into different subspecialties, including anatomical pathology, which focuses on the examination of tissues and organs, and clinical pathology, which focuses on the analysis of bodily fluids, such as blood and urine. Pathologists use a variety of techniques, including microscope examination, genetic testing, and imaging studies, to make a diagnosis.
